Job Description
Ste-Marie Chevrolet Buick GMC Corvette is seeking an experienced Damage Estimator to join our team in Saint-Rémi. You will be responsible for assessing and estimating mechanical and body damage on GM vehicles and other brands, providing accurate and competitive estimates, and working closely with insurers and customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze damages and prepare detailed estimates for repairs.
- Determine the costs of parts, labor, and repairs, adhering to industry standards and internal practices.
- Evaluate repair needs and propose optimal solutions for safety and durability of vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with technicians, insurers, and customers to clarify details and obtain approval.
- Prepare and present estimation files for approval and follow up on claims until completion.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and associated guarantees; monitor deadlines and repair quality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimation processes and after-sales service.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive damage estimation (claims).
- General knowledge of automotive estimation processes, estimation software, and parts and labor databases.
- Good understanding of repair procedures, parts, and labor times.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to negotiate and maintain good relationships with insurers and customers.
- Rigor, attention to detail, and customer service orientation; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technical training (college/day) in bodywork, automotive mechanics, or related field is an asset.
