Body-Shop Manager

Chagnon Honda, a dealership established for over 33 years in Granby, near Bromont and Cowansville, is seeking a Body Shop Department Manager.

Job Description As the Body Shop Department Manager, you will oversee all activities of the body shop and repair service. You will ensure the optimization of estimates and repair processes, supervise teams, and provide high-level customer service. You will be responsible for the service's profitability, adherence to quality and safety standards, and talent development within your team.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the body shop department strategy in line with the dealership's objectives.
• Prepare estimates and supervise damage assessments and repairs, ensuring accuracy and promptness of quotes.
• Supervise the liaison officer and estimator, and coordinate activities among technicians, insurers, and clients.
• Plan and optimize workflow, manage priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitor performance indicators (productivity, quality, customer satisfaction) and establish improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, internal procedures, and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments (maintenance, detailing, parts) to maximize vehicle value and resale potential.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a body shop service or similar in the automotive industry, ideally at a dealership.
• Strong experience in damage estimation and relationships with insurers and clients.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and operational decision-making.
• Proficiency with automotive estimation tools and software and a good knowledge of repair processes.
• Team spirit, service-oriented mindset, and results-driven approach.
