We are seeking a General Sales Manager to join Saint-Jean Hyundai, a fully renovated dealership at the forefront of technology, offering a welcoming and motivating work environment within a dynamic and dedicated team. Full-time position based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.
Role Summary
As the General Sales Manager, you will lead the dealership’s commercial strategy and guide the sales team toward operational excellence and sustained growth. You will ensure the achievement of volume, margin, and customer satisfaction targets, strengthening Saint-Jean Hyundai’s position on Montreal’s South Shore as a specialist in used vehicles and a trusted Hyundai dealer.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the commercial strategy in accordance with the dealership’s goals and Hyundai’s directives.
- Supervise, train, and develop the sales team (new and used), promoting a customer service, ethics, and performance-oriented culture.
- Set sales targets and monitor key indicators (volume, margin, acquisition cost, customer satisfaction, conversion rate) with regular reports to management.
- Optimize sales, financing, and after-sales processes by working closely with marketing and operational teams.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and pricing plans, ensuring compliance with Hyundai policies and legal requirements.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with financial institutions, insurance companies, and suppliers to offer competitive solutions to customers.
- Represent the dealership with partners, local communities, and Hyundai teams to support brand awareness and growth.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience and encourage loyalty and positive word-of-mouth.
- Participate in continuous operational improvements and risk management.
Desired Profile
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the automotive or vehicle distribution sector.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in sales, with strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, sales techniques, data analysis, and budget management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills; ability to collaborate with marketing, financing, and operations departments.
- Results-oriented, service-minded, and capable of making informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in French; English is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
