Mechanic

Necessary Skills and Abilities · Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in heavy machinery mechanics or any combinations of training or experience deemed equivalent; · Possess between two (2) and less than three (3) years of experience in light and heavy vehicle mechanics (gasoline and diesel engines) and major systems; · Be able to lift and transport loads up to 50 kg; · Have a practical understanding of hydraulics, transmission ratios; · Be able to read and understand diagrams, plans, and technical drawings; · Have knowledge of diagnostics and the ability to conduct technical research on a computer; · Hold a Class 5 driver’s license; Class 1 or 2 will be considered an asset.

The Mandate · Perform installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of assets (mechanical and hydraulic equipment, air conditioning systems, mobile pneumatics, etc.); · Monitor maintenance and repair needs for heavy equipment, light vehicles, and other SDBJ equipment; · Provide and manage data for processing work orders, inventories, and equipment repair records within the management platform; · Write maintenance reports, update inventory data, and order parts; · Operate snow removal equipment; · Perform other related tasks.
