Based in Laval, Quebec, our large-scale car dealership is seeking an experienced Financial Services Manager to lead and optimize all financial activities related to vehicle sales.
Main responsibilities
- Lead financing, insurance, and warranty activities associated with vehicle sales, ensuring excellent customer service and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise the financing team and work closely with the sales and operations departments to facilitate transaction closures.
- Define and implement credit policies, risk assessment procedures, and compliance protocols, while rigorously monitoring files.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and insurers, negotiate financing and insurance terms, and optimize margins and processing times.
- Analyze the financial performance of the department, prepare budgets and reports for management, and propose areas for improvement.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of files, document processing, and adherence to internal procedures.
- Develop and implement best practices in customer service and actively participate in achieving departmental and company goals.
- Contribute to the evolution of financial processes and systems to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
Profile sought
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a role related to auto financing or, alternatively, equivalent experience in financial management.
- University degree in finance, accounting, management, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of auto financing products, insurance, warranties, and credit processes with financial institutions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills; ability to lead a team and collaborate across disciplines.
- Analytical mindset, rigor, organization, and decision-making ability in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with relevant IT tools and knowledge of Quebec and Canadian regulatory requirements related to auto credit and insurance.
- Fluent French; functional English would be an asset.
