Main responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise workshop activities to ensure optimal productivity;
  • Fairly allocate work among technicians according to their skills and workload;
  • Monitor the progress of repairs and ensure deadlines are met;
  • Provide technical support to technicians when required;
  • Maintain a high level of repair quality and minimize return visits;
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and warranty procedures;
  • Collaborate closely with technical advisors to ensure effective communication with clients;
  • Participate in resolving complaints and ensuring customer satisfaction;
  • Conduct road tests to validate repair quality;
  • Track departmental performance indicators;
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and development of technicians;
  • Promote a positive work environment and team spirit within the department;
  • Ensure ongoing training for team members;
  • Manage specialized tools and workshop equipment;
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment compliant with established standards;
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by management.

Job requirements:

  • Relevant experience in automotive mechanics;
  • Experience in supervision or team coordination (a significant asset);
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
  • Mobilizing leadership and teamwork skills;
  • Focus on work quality and customer service;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Knowledge of manufacturer warranty procedures (an asset).
