Bodywork estimator

Body shop estimator is responsible for assessing damages to accident-damaged vehicles, preparing accurate repair cost estimates, and providing professional customer service throughout the claims process.

Main Responsibilities

• Inspect damaged vehicles and identify necessary repairs
• Prepare detailed estimates (parts, labor, paint)
• Use estimation software (e.g., Audatex, Mitchell)
• Communicate with insurance companies
• Explain repairs and costs to clients
• Follow up on files and ongoing repairs
• Collaborate with technicians and parts department
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and deadlines

Requirements

• Experience in auto estimation or bodywork (a major asset)
• Knowledge of repair processes and insurance procedures
• Proficiency with computer tools and estimation software
• Excellent customer service skills
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure

Qualifications

• Diploma in bodywork or equivalent experience (an asset)
• Valid driver’s license

Salary: Starting from $27/hour depending on experience

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
