Job Description
This position is based in Repentigny, Quebec, and falls within the automotive sector. It is a confidential role aimed at ensuring the operational supervision of the workshop and the development of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate workshop activities (repair, maintenance, quality control) to meet deadlines and industry standards.
  • Plan and assign daily tasks to technicians and operators; optimize resource utilization and cycle times.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate team members; identify training needs and ensure skill development.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and risk prevention; promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Collaborate with production, purchasing, and after-sales services to ensure parts availability and delivery quality.
  • Monitor performance indicators (productivity, scrap rate, deadlines, quality) and initiate continuous improvement actions.
  • Manage tools, inventory, and maintenance of workshop equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization using best practices from lean manufacturing.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising workshops in the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven leadership, excellent ability to unify and delegate; proactive and results-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of production, maintenance, and quality control processes; familiarity with ERP systems and planning tools.
  • Proficiency in French; technical English preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, rigor, and internal customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Technical Skills and Safety

  • Implementation and monitoring of safety procedures and OHS standards; ability to lead safety briefings.
  • Reading and interpreting technical documents and simple plans; use of workshop equipment and software.
  • Regular use of Microsoft Office Suite and inventory and production management tools.
