Job Description
As part of a growth initiative and to strengthen the finance team, we are looking for a control and management professional to support production activities and the financial performance of a key player in the automotive sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and quarterly closings, produce financial statements and reports for management and steering committees.
- Manage the annual budget, forecasts, and variance analysis by cost center and product line.
- Implement, monitor, and improve internal controls, particularly related to production costs, inventories, and purchasing processes.
- Analyze profitability by product and line, propose optimization actions, and support investment decisions.
- Work closely with operational teams (production, supply chain) to optimize processes and promote continuous improvement and automation of reports.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities, ensure compliance with Canadian accounting frameworks (ASPE/IFRS depending on the context) and local tax requirements.
- Participate in the implementation and improvement of information systems and reporting tools (ERP SAP/Oracle/Dynamics or equivalents; Excel and BI tools).
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a controlling, management control, or accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing or automotive industry.
- University degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
- Proficiency with an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar) and advanced Excel; knowledge of BI tools.
- Good knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards (ASPE/IFRS depending on the context) and tax requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills, rigor, organizational sense, and ability to work in a team; capacity to communicate clearly with technical and operational stakeholders.
- Fluent in French, both oral and written; technical English is a plus.
- Availability to work in Longueuil and ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
