Journeyman mechanic

Hyundai Saint-Constant, located in Saint-Constant, near Brossard, is seeking a Apprentice Mechanic to join our dynamic workshop. This position is offered as a fixed-term contract of one year.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on Hyundai vehicles and a limited range of brands according to group directives.
• Assist experienced mechanics in interventions, respecting established procedures and deadlines.
• Diagnose simple to moderate faults, perform functional tests, and verify the quality of repairs.
• Prepare and re-commission vehicles in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; document interventions in the diagnostic system and keep records.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and share best practices with the team.

Requirements and qualifications

• Vocational diploma (DEP) in automotive mechanics or equivalent; workshop experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role (or as part of a progressive apprenticeship under a companion contract).
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of vehicles; ability to read diagrams and diagnose simple faults.
• Good communication skills and team spirit; customer service orientation and attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude, reliability, and ability to work in a performance- and quality-driven environment.
• Availability and adaptability to fit into our schedule and work pace.
