Mechanic / Technician

Japan Canada Motors Ltd. is a Devon, Alberta-based dealership specializing in imported Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles and parts. We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician specializing in JDM vehicles to join our team as a Mechanic / Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of right-hand drive JDM vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Perform preventive maintenance, brake, suspension, engine, transmission, electrical, and driveline repairs.
• Use factory service manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
• Accurately document all work performed and communicate findings as appropriate to customers and team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to safety standards and quality workmanship.
• Collaborate with parts staff to obtain necessary components and ensure timely service.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience through professionalism and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience working on JDM vehicles.
• Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience as an automotive mechanic
• Licensed to work in Alberta as an automotive mechanic
• Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in both hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in JDM vehicles.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and reliability.
• Effective communication and ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
