The main tasks are listed below, but the holder may be assigned other functions. • Welcome the customer, establish a trusting relationship, and demonstrate a serious commitment to customer satisfaction. • Help customers choose a vehicle by asking questions and listening attentively to their responses to accurately identify their needs. • Explain to potential customers the performance of products, their operation, and advantages directly in the showroom or via email. • Describe any optional equipment the customer might purchase. • Offer test drives to potential customers. Follow dealership procedures to obtain the appropriate identification from the customer before the test drive. • Professionally explain the terms related to long-term leasing versus traditional purchase based on customer needs. • Gather required information and complete all documents necessary for preparing a sale. • Understand and explain the concepts of equity and residual value and be able to clarify depreciation to customers. • Negotiate the price and get the transaction approved by the Sales Manager. • Inform the Sales Manager during exchanges, refunds, or the issuance of credit notes. • Turn over 100 percent of concluded transactions to the Sales Manager, along with all duly completed documentation (insurance information, transaction title, etc.). • Prepare and adequately inform the customer to optimize meetings with the Sales Manager. • Define and get approval from management for your personal annual sales goals. • Review and analyze your activities at the end of each day, week, month, and year to organize your schedule more efficiently. • Stay informed about new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits for customers. • Know and understand all federal, provincial, and municipal laws governing retail automobile sales. • Attend product and sales training courses as directed by the Sales Manager.
