Assistant Controller

Mazda Saint-Jean is seeking an Assistant Controller:

Main Responsibilities

• Participate in management control and the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Collect, consolidate, and analyze financial data.
• Prepare performance reports, dashboards, and analyses for management.
• Support the controller in budgeting, forecasts, and budget monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and deadlines; verify data accuracy.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to automating reports and information flows.
• Participate in monthly closings and internal control follow-up, providing relevant analyses.
• Clearly communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional certification is an asset.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role (management control/accounting); experience in the automotive field or with dealerships is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach; ability to work with ERP systems and reporting tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookup and consolidation functions) and good data manipulation skills.
• Excellent communication skills, team spirit, and ability to prioritize in a multi-dealer environment.
• Fluent in French; English is an asset.
• Autonomy, rigor, and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and demanding environment.
