Mechanic / Technician

Job Description
Garage Salvatore, located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, continues a family tradition born at Ferrari and is looking for an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our workshop. Open to pre-retirees, this position offers a pressure-free environment within a small team, at the heart of a renowned establishment. Minimum requirement: 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair sports and performance vehicles, respecting quality standards and deadlines.
• Perform electronic and mechanical diagnostics (engine, transmission, electronics, suspension, braking, exhaust) and conduct road tests after intervention.
• Plan and carry out preventive maintenance and repairs according to the garage’s protocols.
• Write intervention reports and ensure traceability of parts and operations.
• Maintain order and safety in the workshop, ensure tools are clean, and manage parts inventory.
• Collaborate with other technicians and share best practices derived from the family heritage and racing experience.

Qualifications and Desired Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive mechanics.
• DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent; knowledge of modern systems and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and common electronic technologies in modern vehicles.
• Ability to work independently while integrating into a small team; attention to detail and precision.
• Fluent in French; technical English is an asset.
• Professional attitude, honesty, and a strong sense of customer service.
• Open to collaborating with experienced technicians and exchanging knowledge within a family-oriented and passionate environment.
