Accounting Clerk

Job Description Within the Barnabé Rive-Sud Group, a key player in the automotive sector comprising several dealerships in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, we are seeking an Accounting Clerk/Technician to assist the controller at our dealerships.

Responsibilities

• Data entry, verification, and processing of supplier invoices, payment tracking, and bank reconciliations.
• Management of customer accounts: issuing invoices, monitoring collections, and follow-ups if necessary.
• Assistance with monthly and quarterly closing: preparing journals, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Monitoring inter-site operations: entering and reconciling entries between dealerships and headquarters.
• Managing operations related to inventory and fixed assets, and collaborating with operational teams to ensure the accuracy of costs and stocks.
• Compliance with internal procedures, tax requirements (GST/QST), and internal controls.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a similar position.
• Degree in accounting techniques, DEC in accounting, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; knowledge of an ERP system is an asset.
• Rigor, organization skills, ability to work as a team, and good communication skills.
• Knowledge of the automotive sector or dealerships is an asset.
