Mechanic / Technician

Hyundai St-Jérôme, a Hyundai dealership located in Mirabel (16600 Guénette Road), near Saint-Jérôme, Blainville, and Saint-Eustache, is part of the GENX Groupe Automotive. Driven by a culture of innovation and quality customer service, our team is seeking a passionate and experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our dynamic workshop.

Job Type: Mechanic / Technician Minimum experience required: 3 years in a similar role Education and qualifications: Vocational diploma (DEP) in automotive mechanics or equivalent; knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems of modern vehicles; ability to read and interpret diagrams and technical bulletins; knowledge of diagnostic tools; valid driver’s license. Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair Hyundai vehicles and other brands according to manufacturer standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance, mechanical repairs, and electrical/electronic interventions.
• Read and interpret technical bulletins, diagrams, and Hyundai procedures; propose sustainable and effective solutions.
• Use appropriate diagnostic tools and conduct road tests after servicing.
• Estimate parts and time required; communicate with service advisors and customers as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards, keep the workshop clean, and follow internal procedures.
• Participate in quality control and continuous process improvement.
• Document interventions in the management system and ensure warranty compliance.

Desired Profile:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive mechanics within a workshop/dealership.
• DEP in automotive mechanics or equivalent; good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; proficiency with diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read technical manuals and follow procedures.
• Customer service skills and team spirit; excellent communication.
• Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license; availability for summer schedules.
