Accounting Clerk

Longueuil Nissan, a reference in the South Shore and Montreal for the purchase of a Nissan vehicle and a member of the Motion Group, based in Longueuil, is seeking a motivated Accounts Clerk / Technician to strengthen our financial team.

Job Title: Accounts Clerk / Technician

Job Description Under the supervision of the accounting manager, you will ensure the processing and follow-up of daily accounting activities to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of our financial statements. You will work closely with the sales and service departments, and actively participate in monthly closures and audit support. You will operate in a dynamic environment focused on customer service and operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities

• Entering and processing accounting entries (supplier and customer invoices, expense reports) and maintaining subsidiary ledgers.
• Monitoring payments, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
• Preparing and verifying documents for payroll and declarations, as needed by the accounting department.
• Tracking deadlines and cash flows; preparing monthly reports and contributing to closures.
• Managing supplier and customer files, controlling discrepancies, and supporting internal audits.
• Updating and meticulously filing accounting documents, respecting procedures and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborating across departments to ensure data accuracy and achievement of financial goals.

Profile

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in bookkeeping or accounting required.
• Relevant education in accounting (DEC or ASP in accounting or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in French, both oral and written; knowledge of English is a plus.
• Proficiency with computer tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel) and accounting software; ability to quickly learn company-used systems.
• Rigor, organizational skills, discretion, and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently while being effective in a team; customer service and deadline-oriented.
• Interest or experience in the automotive sector is a plus.
