We are looking for a resourceful and autonomous automotive technician to recondition our used vehicles. You must be able to quickly diagnose, efficiently repair, and find cost-effective solutions without sacrificing quality. This position is suitable for a proactive individual who can prioritize their work and act with minimal supervision. You will work in an environment equipped with new equipment, directly within the used vehicle department.
Main responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose incoming used vehicles
- Perform necessary mechanical repairs (brakes, suspension, electrical, fluids, etc.)
- Prioritize repairs based on cost/benefit analysis for market readiness
- Identify alternative solutions when standard repairs are too costly
- Document work performed on each unit
- Collaborate with the Used Vehicle Manager, the detailing department, and the parts department on the status and needs of each vehicle
Profile sought
- Experience in automotive mechanics
- DEP in automotive mechanics is a plus; otherwise, demonstrated equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience required
- Autonomous — able to manage your workload without constant supervision
- Resourceful — find solutions, don't get stuck on a problem
- Strong prioritization skills: profitability and speed without compromising safety
- Good communication — capable of working with multiple departments
- Valid driver's license
