Assistant Controller
We are hiring for our Sainte-Julie or Montreal branch an Assistant Controller.

In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing activities related to accounting, financial management, and internal controls of the company;
- Implementing accounting management and control mechanisms and ensuring the proper management and validity of financial information in accordance with accounting principles;
- Initiating and managing, in collaboration with other directors, the budgeting process, ensuring a clear understanding of organizational priorities and ensuring appropriate allocation of financial resources;
- Responsible for optimal and tight management of cash flow, cash holdings, expenses, company liquidity, and related products;
- Preparing GST and QST declarations;
- Conducting analyses for various departments;
- Actively participating in the month-end and year-end closing processes;
- Assisting in hiring employees under your supervision, in collaboration with human resources;
- Coordinating your team’s schedule efficiently (vacations, time off, etc.);
- Collaborating with management on various special projects.

Working hours: Flexible, daytime. 40 hours per week
Salary: Starting at $100,000/year depending on experience.
Required Qualifications and Desired Skills:
- University degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
- Professional accounting designation (CPA);
- 5 years of prior experience in a similar role;
- Experience in SMEs or a dealership is a plus;
- 5 years of personnel supervision experience;
- Functional English (French/English, spoken and written);
- Excellent command of MS Office software;
- Expert with Excel (SQL queries) is a plus;
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate across departments;
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively;
- Capable of working under pressure, available, and reliable.
