Bodywork preparer

The Boucherville Body Shop is looking for a meticulous and passionate body repair preparer to join its team. The chosen individual will be responsible for preparing vehicles before painting work, ensuring that each surface meets the highest quality standards. They will work closely with body repair technicians and painters to ensure efficient work and flawless finishing.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces before painting work.
• Perform manual and mechanical sanding of panels and parts.
• Apply body fillers and carry out necessary finishing work.
• Clean, degrease, and mask vehicles before applying primer and paint.
• Apply primers according to manufacturer procedures and recommendations.
• Check the quality of preparation and correct any imperfections before painting.
• Dismantle and reassemble certain parts as required to facilitate repairs.
• Use tools, equipment, and products safely and in accordance with industry standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Collaborate with body repair technicians, painters, and other team members to meet production deadlines.
• Comply with quality, health, and safety standards, as well as company procedures.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in vehicle preparation or a similar position (an asset).
• Good knowledge of preparation, sanding, masking, and primer application techniques.
• Ability to use tools and equipment specific to the trade.
• Great attention to detail, thoroughness, and pride in work.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to work precisely.
• Team spirit, autonomy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment while respecting deadlines.
