Mechanic / Technician

We are looking for an experienced Mechanic / Technician for our general mechanical workshop in Repentigny, Quebec. The workshop has been established for over 40 years and is a family business. We offer a stable, youthful, and dynamic work environment, a loyal and friendly clientele.

Job Description You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles such as cars, SUVs, and light trucks. You will carry out preventive maintenance, diagnose breakdowns using modern diagnostic equipment, and propose appropriate interventions. You will work closely with other team members to ensure the quality of work, meet deadlines, and achieve customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic systems on light vehicles, SUVs, and trucks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and fault codes.
• Clearly communicate diagnoses and recommendations to the customer.
• Ensure the quality and safety of interventions and document procedures in the tracking system.
• Collaborate with the team and contribute to the continuous improvement of the workshop.

Profile Sought

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive mechanics and diagnostics, with knowledge of SUVs and light trucks.
• Mastery of electronic and mechanical diagnostic tools and procedures.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the team; excellent time management and sense of responsibility.
• Good communication skills in French; ability to clearly explain repairs and maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license; diploma in automotive mechanics or equivalent preferred.
