FL Auto Technique, based in Saint-Rémi, Quebec, is looking for an experienced Mechanic / Technician specialized in electrical and electronic diagnostics in automobiles. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic failures in vehicles (control modules, sensors, actuators, ignition systems, fuel injection, charging, safety, infotainment, etc.).
- Master and utilize diagnostic tools (OBD scanner, multimeters, oscilloscopes, manufacturer diagnostic software) to identify causes and propose effective solutions.
- Perform repairs and replacements of electrical and electronic components (harnesses, sensors, modules, alternators, starters, etc.).
- Write clear diagnostic reports and findings, propose solutions, and estimate parts and labor time.
- Conduct functional tests and safety checks after repairs; ensure quality follow-up.
- Collaborate with the team and customer service to plan repairs and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain the workspace, tools, and procedures in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and electronic diagnostics in automobiles.
- Technical training in mechanics, electromechanics, or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of modern vehicle electronic and electrical systems, including CAN bus, sensors, actuators, control modules, injection and starting/alternator systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic and measurement tools (OBD scanner, multimeter, oscilloscope, diagnostic software).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills and customer service orientation; organization and prioritization skills.
- Valid driver's license; availability to work as needed by the service.
- Fluent French; technical English is an asset.
