Mauricie Toyota, part of the St-Louis Group and located in Shawinigan, QC, is seeking a Director of New Vehicle Sales to lead our sales team and drive activities related to the sale of new Toyota vehicles. The successful candidate will actively contribute to sales growth, the optimization of the customer experience, and the overall performance of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, align, and achieve new vehicle sales targets, as well as market share and profitability for the department.
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team (sales consultants and supervisors), ensuring recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training.
- Design and execute business plans in collaboration with the financing, parts, and after-sales service departments, to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Manage the sales pipeline, CRM and performance reports; analyze data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Ensure a premium customer experience throughout the purchase journey and ensure effective resolution of disputes or dissatisfaction.
- Oversee local marketing campaigns and launches of new models, in coordination with the St-Louis Group marketing team.
- Manage the sales budget and optimize costs, margins and promotions while complying with Toyota standards.
- Develop partnerships and fleet or professional client sales opportunities; foster loyalty and sustainable growth of the customer base.
- Ensure compliance with Toyota's and the St-Louis Group's standards and policies regarding compliance, ethics and service.
Requirements and qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales leadership in the automotive sector, ideally with new vehicles.
- Bachelor's degree in administration, marketing, business management or equivalent experience; ongoing training desirable.
- Excellent leadership, with proven ability to coach, inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills; results-oriented and a problem solver.
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency with CRM tools and ability to produce decision-support reports.
- Fluency in French; English is an asset.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to change while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
