Mechanic / Technician

EMP Garage, with over 24 years of experience and a fully equipped workshop utilizing the latest technologies, located in Saint-Jérôme, QC, is seeking a Light Truck Mechanic/Technician to join our skilled team.

Job Description You will join a team known for its advanced diagnostics and expertise. You will be responsible for maintenance and repair of light trucks and utility vehicles, focusing on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will work on gasoline and diesel vehicles (a plus), using modern diagnostic tools and rigorous inspection procedures.

Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures on light trucks.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete overhauls, as well as repairs related to engines, transmissions, electrical systems, air conditioning, braking, and suspension.
• Analyze symptoms, read schematics, and interpret technical bulletins and diagnostic reports.
• Replace parts, adjust, and test systems to ensure vehicle reliability and safety.
• Write clear and precise intervention reports and communicate with clients and technicians.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards, and collaborate with the team to optimize workflow.
• Participate in training and stay updated on the latest technologies related to light trucks.

Profile Sought

• Minimum of 3 years experience in light truck mechanics.
• Relevant diploma in automotive mechanics (or equivalent).
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to interpret technical documents and electronic systems.
• Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Team spirit, excellent coordination, and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to a diverse clientele; knowledge of French is essential (English is a plus).
