We are seeking a skilled 310S Automotive Service Technician (Mechanic) to join a well-established service facility in Welland. This is a confidential search on behalf of a respected client in the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience and hold an automotive service technician licence (310S).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostics, inspections, and repairs across a range of light-duty vehicles, including engine, powertrain, suspension, steering, braking, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, repair procedures, and OEM specifications; perform accurate troubleshooting and efficient repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections; identify potential safety concerns and communicate them clearly.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, scanners, scopes, meters, and standard shop equipment; document findings, repair plans, and parts required.
- Ensure workmanship meets quality standards; maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Accurately complete repair orders, warranty documentation, and related administrative tasks as required.
- Collaborate with service advisors and teammates to meet timelines and deliver exceptional customer service.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid 310S Automotive Service Technician licence (Ontario).
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic/technician in a busy shop.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities; proficiency with computerized diagnostic equipment and schematic reading.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and OEM repair procedures.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and high-quality workmanship; attention to detail.
- Good communication skills; team player with a customer-service orientation.
- Valid driver's license; ownership of a basic toolset is preferred but not mandatory.
