Accounting Clerk

We are seeking an experienced Accountant Assistant / Accounting Technician to join our financial team at Les Moteurs Décarie, a premium dealership representing Jaguar, Land Rover, Aston Martin, and Bentley. You will work in an environment where operational excellence and high-level customer service are at the core of our priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and verify daily accounting transactions (purchases, sales, cash receipts, and payments) and perform bank reconciliations.
• Manage supplier and customer accounts, ensure account reclassification, and facilitate balance tracking.
• Participate in monthly and quarterly closing processes, preparing analyses and documents required for audits and verifications.
• Prepare financial reports and operational analyses for management (margins, costs, variances).
• Collaborate with the Sales, Service, and Parts departments to ensure data accuracy related to inventory and financial flows.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting or the financial field (DEC/BAC) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in general and analytical accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; experience with an ERP system and inventory management is a plus.
• Good command of French and English.
• Rigor, discretion, analytical mind, and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
• Ideally: experience in the automotive sector or retail sales and knowledge of inventory practices.
