Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join our La Prairie Radial Tire Centre, a family workshop established on Taschereau Boulevard since 1947. Join a team proud of its know-how and commitment to customer satisfaction, and help maintain the Centre’s reputation for excellence in tire sales and installation, and in vehicle maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, the transmission, the braking system and the vehicle powertrains.
  • Perform maintenance recommended by the manufacturer and carry out emergency mechanical repairs.
  • Install and balance tires, perform wheel alignment and ensure proper tuning/calibration of related systems.
  • Work on hybrid and electric vehicles, adapting to modern tools and methods and staying up to date on emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with technical advisors to guide customers and propose the best solutions according to needs and budget.
  • Keep the workshop clean and safe, and comply with internal procedures and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in automotive mechanics or a related field.
  • Relevant training in automotive mechanics or equivalent experience.
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and provide quality customer service.
  • Knowledge of tools and electronic diagnostics, ability to read technical diagrams.
  • Valid driver’s license.
