Controller

Elite Ford St-Jérôme, a member of the Group Tremblay and a leader in the automotive sector in the Saint-Jérôme region, is looking for an experienced Controller to join its dynamic team. You will bring your financial and operational expertise to support an impeccable customer experience and sustainable performance in our sales and service activities.

Job Description

• Oversee the reliability of monthly and annual financial information, prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Manage and optimize the monthly closing process, including variance analyses, forecasts, and the annual budget.
• Control costs and margins by department (Sales, Service, Parts), ensuring accurate allocations and better visibility into profitability.
• Supervise accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations, cash flow, and liquidity management.
• Implement and improve internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting practices (GAAP and Quebec tax regulations), and support internal and external audits.
• Work closely with management for financial analyses, investment decisions, and results projections.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, promote operational efficiency and process automation.
• Work with ERP systems and analytical tools (advanced Excel and data digitization) to provide clear and actionable reports.
• Participate in optimizing processes specific to the automotive sector, including inventory management, vehicle valuation, and parts valuation.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation (or in the process of obtaining) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial control or similar role; experience in the automotive or distribution sector is an asset.
• Mastery of accounting principles applicable in Quebec, knowledge of IFRS/GAAP standards, and tax obligations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and analytical tools; excellent Excel skills and strong analytical sense.
• Analytical mindset, rigor, attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Communication and leadership skills; ability to collaborate with various teams and present financial information clearly.
• Operating level of English would be a plus; results-oriented and customer service focus.
