Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice)

Ste-Marie Chevrolet Buick GMC Corvette, a dealership located in Saint-Rémi, near Montreal, is seeking a Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice) to join our after-sales service team.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles, particularly GM models, in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical and electrical repairs following current procedures.
• Collaborate with technicians and the parts and service team to ensure quality, timely service, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow safety rules, quality standards, and good repair practices.
• Clearly document interventions and inspections in the service system.
• Actively participate in training and professional development to advance to more senior responsibilities.

Profile and Qualifications

• Apprentice status in automotive mechanics/technicians or equivalent diploma; Required experience: 1 year in a similar role.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts and ability to interpret tests and diagnostics.
• Good aptitude for using laboratory and diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in parking lots, standing, and with tools.
• Good interpersonal skills, team spirit, and customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of GM vehicles is an asset; willingness to learn and improve.
• Availability for flexible hours based on service needs.
