Mechanic / Technician

Job Description Mechanic / Technician – Light Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) Based in Montreal, Quebec, Alex Pneu & Mécanique is seeking an experienced mechanic/technician to join our team dedicated to light trucks and LCVs. You will have the opportunity to apply your sharp technical expertise in a dynamic, excellence-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical systems of light trucks and LCVs (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, electronics and airbags).
• Perform preventive maintenance and periodic inspections in accordance with the manufacturer’s standards and Green Key requirements.
• Use diagnostic tools and specialized software to identify and resolve faults with precision.
• Carry out tire alignments, balancing and related tire services (mounting, dismounting, balancing, rotation) and advise on tire needs (summer/winter).
• Carefully document repairs and ensure clear follow-up with customers and the team.
• Work in collaboration with other technicians to optimize intervention times and service quality.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized and compliant with safety and environmental standards.

Profile sought

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience in repair and maintenance of light trucks and LCVs.
• Strong mastery of mechanical and electrical systems and ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems.
• Mastery of diagnostic tools and techniques, with a good knowledge of industry standards.
• Excellent customer service, communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license; availability to work flexible hours and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Fluent in French; technical English is an asset.
• Initiative, rigor, autonomy and ability to learn and continually improve.
