Mechanic / Technician

Job Description
Silencieux Corbeil Inc. OCTO Auto Service Plus, a family-owned workshop located in Saint-Jérôme, QC, is looking for a Mechanic / Technician to join its team of automotive experts. Our establishment offers comprehensive services ranging from preventive maintenance to repair of mechanical and electronic systems, including tires, shock absorbers, steering, brakes, and exhaust, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles in accordance with workshop standards and current intervention methods
• Perform preventive maintenance and replace worn parts (oil, filters, fluids, etc.)
• Work on mechanical and electronic systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, tires)
• Use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to identify causes of breakdowns
• Write intervention reports and ensure follow-up on repairs
• Maintain the order and cleanliness of the workshop, adhere to safety standards and internal procedures
• Collaborate with the team and participate in continuous process improvement

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a similar automotive mechanic position
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems and ability to diagnose faults
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with an interest in service and quality
• Rigor, organization, and attention to detail
