Job Title: Mechanic / Technician – Journeyman (Automotive Diagnosis and Electrical Systems)

Job Description Experienced journeyman technician with expertise in diagnostics and automotive electrical systems, you will join a high-performing team in the Longueuil Nissan after-sales service. Under the supervision of the workshop manager, you will perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on electrical and electronic systems to ensure reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic failures on vehicles using modern diagnostic tools and manufacturer procedures.
• Work on ignition, injection, starting, charging, safety systems, as well as low and high voltage circuits.
• Diagnose failures related to sensors, actuators, modules, and CAN bus; propose and carry out necessary repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and major repairs in accordance with Nissan standards and workplace safety.
• Collaborate with the rest of the service team and communicate clearly with clients regarding repairs and timelines.
• Document interventions, parts used, and time spent in the management system.
• Participate in ongoing training and propose process improvements in the workshop.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in diagnostics and automotive electrical systems.
• Training or diploma in automotive mechanics; journeyman status preferred.
• Strong knowledge of onboard electrical and electronic systems; experience with Nissan vehicles is an asset; familiarity with hybrid/electric systems is appreciated.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools (OBD scanner, multimeters, oscilloscope, manufacturer software).
• Team spirit, customer service orientation, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in French; operational English would be an asset.
• Ability to work standing, meet deadlines, and adhere to safety procedures.
