Bodyshop Technician (Apprentice)

We are hiring a Dents Repair Apprentice to join our body shop at Volkswagen Popular in Montreal.

Your responsibilities

• Perform dent repairs on vehicle metal panels according to manufacturer standards and internal procedures.
• Straighten and prepare surfaces to create a suitable base for further repairs.
• Use manual and specialized tools (hammers, spring presses, jigs, etc.) to realign panels while preserving structural integrity.
• Protect adjacent areas and prepare surfaces for subsequent repair or restoration steps.
• Work in coordination with body technicians and painters as needed to plan repairs and meet deadlines.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop.
• Maintain inventory of tools and ensure the workspace is clean and orderly.
• Document repairs and communicate relevant observations to the supervisor.

Profile sought

• 1 year of experience in dent repair or a related position.
• Knowledge of manual dent repair techniques, body tolerances, and associated tools.
• Excellent manual skills, precision, attention to detail; good physical condition and endurance.
• Team spirit, initiative, and good communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to procedures.
