Bodywork preparer

We are looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Body Shop Prep Technician to join the Volkswagen Popular team in Montreal. Main Responsibilities

• Prepare the surfaces of parts and vehicles for repairs and painting: degreasing, sanding, masking, and thorough cleaning.
• Properly mask areas not to be painted and prepare surfaces for primer application and treatments.
• Detect and report surface defects; assist with small touch-ups and pre-paint preparations.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to safety standards, and ensure tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Work closely with body shop technicians to optimize timelines and ensure work quality.

Profile Sought

• No experience required; on-site training possible; a diploma in bodywork or related technical training is an asset.
• Excellent manual skills, attention to detail, and precision.
• Team spirit and ability to strictly follow procedures and safety standards.
• Good physical condition and ability to stand for long periods; flexible hours as needed by the workshop.
