Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice)

Job Description
We are looking for a Mechanic / Technician or Apprentice with a DEP to join Joliette Toyota, a dealership located in Joliette. The selected candidate will participate in the maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of new and used Toyota vehicles, in an environment focused on quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and air conditioning systems of Toyota and used vehicles.
• Perform inspections and test drives to confirm repairs.
• Follow workshop safety and quality procedures; document repairs in the computer system.
• Collaborate with the service team to plan interventions and optimize timelines.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement of technical skills.
• Respect dealership policies and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a similar position or apprenticeship.
• Apprentice mechanic with a DEP or journeyman; proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems; ability to read and interpret diagrams and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and methodical approach.
• Good manual skills, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Relevant training or diploma in automotive mechanics is an asset.
• Fluent Spanish; functional English is a plus.
