Under the supervision of the Service Manager, the Detailing Advisor is primarily responsible for running an efficient and profitable Detailing operation. They will carry out this responsibility by operating their shop at maximum production, controlling costs, maintaining good employee relationships, setting and obtaining sales objectives, maintaining service records, and meeting profit objectives.
Characteristic Requirements:
A recognition that customer satisfaction and service are the main concerns of the dealership, and the ability to communicate these concerns to others in the department.
A thorough working knowledge of all aspects of the Detailing department.
Excellent sales marketing skills selling retail detailing via customers and advisors
-The ability to listen to and communicate effectively with a variety of others inside and outside the dealership, orally and in writing.
The ability to organize and manage their own time and activities effectively, and to assist their team in doing the same.
The ability to set, implement and monitor realistic sales and service goals for self and others in order to meet long-term objectives.
The ability to identify and implement training needs for the detailing department personnel.
Excellent grooming and appearance.

Specific Tasks:
Sell retail detailing by doing estimates on service customers
Work with the Detailing staff
Work with the Advisors
Close all work orders when job is finished
Manager new and used car detailing quality and time lines
Inspect all jobs for quality
Prepare and implement a budget and forecast which insures a profitable Detailing department.
Control the performance of the department, using the DOC, efficiently and productivity reports, comeback reports, warranty reports, and customer satisfaction reports.
Outline training program for the service department, and maintain training records.
Conduct periodic shop meetings.
Handle customer complaints expeditiously, in keeping with dealership policy.
Keep all necessary records required by the manufacturer.
Maintain all reporting systems as required by management and the manufacturer.
Supervise cleaning and maintenance of the detailing department area.
Establish safeguards to protect dealership and customer property.
Attend any and all professional development programs as directed by management.
Ensure that all departmental employees keep an accurate account of their hours by proper use of the time clock.
