Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice)

Madmax Autoworks, a workshop established in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, is looking for a motivated and competent Mechanic / Technician to strengthen its team.

Job Description: Under the supervision of the workshop manager, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing multi-brand vehicles, adhering to quality and safety standards, and using modern diagnostic tools and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs.
• Replace or repair worn parts and ensure functional verification.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, maintenance sheets, and diagnostic reports.
• Document interventions and ensure traceability of work.
• Actively participate in the maintenance and tidiness of the workstation.
• Work collaboratively with the team and ensure quality service to clients.

Desired Profile:

• Degree in automotive mechanics or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of modern systems (engine, transmission, brakes, electronics; OBD diagnostics).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Good manual skills and precision.
• Team spirit and good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license; availability according to operational needs.
