Job Description Lallier Honda Montreal is seeking a Sales Clerk/Accounting Technician to join its finance team. Under the supervision of the chief accountant, the holder ensures the iterative processing of transactions related to vehicle and service sales, ensuring data accuracy and deadline compliance. You will work closely with the sales and financing departments to ensure reliable and efficient accounting management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Record and process sales transactions (vehicle, parts, and service invoicing) and ensure correct accounting allocations.
  • Manage customer accounts (accounts receivable) and follow up on payments.
  • Participate in the reconciliation of daily sales and the preparation of partial financial reports.
  • Contribute to the monthly closing cycle in coordination with the accounting team.
  • Verify discounts, credits, and rebates in the system and ensure proper entry.
  • Maintain and update customer and supplier records in the management system.
  • Provide support to the sales and financing departments as needed.
  • Participate in process improvement and information flow optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a sales clerk or support accountant, ideally in the automotive sector or retail.
  • Training in accounting (DEC or equivalent; CPA certification in progress is an asset).
  • Proficiency with common accounting software and MS Office tools; experience with a business management system (ERP/DMS) is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills and team spirit; bilingual French/English is an asset.
