Mechanic / Technician

Ford Sorel Tracy, a key player in car maintenance and repair in Sorel-Tracy, is seeking an experienced Mechanic / Technician to join its service workshop.

Job type: Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday; the company is closed on weekends

Required experience: at least 1 year of experience in a similar role

Your responsibilities

• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults on Ford vehicles and other brands, ensuring safety and quality of work
• Performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and reviews according to manufacturer procedures
• Reading and interpreting diagrams, manuals, and diagnostic reports; using appropriate diagnostic tools and software
• Replacing, repairing, or adjusting worn parts (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, ignition and electrical systems, etc.)
• Working collaboratively with the service team to meet deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintaining precise intervention records and documenting repairs performed
• Complying with safety standards, internal procedures, and quality requirements

Required qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive mechanics
• Relevant diploma or training in automotive mechanics; certifications considered an asset
• Good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ability to work with computerized/OBD diagnostics
• Ability to read technical plans and schematics; proficiency with various workshop tools and equipment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good team spirit, customer service orientation, and excellent communication skills
• Valid driver’s license
