Damage Estimator

Job Description We are seeking an experienced auto-damage estimator to join Débosselage La Prairie, the Guzelian Group workshop, under the CarrXpert banner. You will join a dynamic and dedicated team, delivering high-quality service to our customers, insurers, and policyholders. Reporting to the body shop manager, you will be responsible for estimating damages, preparing quotes, and collaborating with insurer partners to ensure fast repairs that meet the group’s standards of excellence.

Main responsibilities

• Analyze damages and prepare accurate and fair repair estimates.
• Estimate repair costs, parts and labor, ensuring the best value for the customer and the workshop.
• Collaborate with insurers for approval of estimates, clarify warranty details and document files.
• Ensure compliance with CarrXpert standards and internal procedures throughout the process.
• Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and claims managers.
• Track files through to close, including invoicing and cost control.
• Update estimating systems and generate relevant reports on the progress of the files.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive damage estimation.
• Knowledge of insurance processes and claims handling.
• Proficiency in estimating software (Audatex, CCC ONE, Mitchell or equivalent) and strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate activities across two nearby shops (La Prairie and Brossard).
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Fluent in French; English is an asset.
• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
