Controller

Brossard Hyundai, a family dealership located on Taschereau and one of the most important in the region, continues to grow and is seeking a motivated Controller to support an annual volume of over 2000 vehicles. Job Description Under the supervision of the Financial Director, you will ensure financial oversight and the reliability of accounting information, ensuring compliance with standards and internal controls. You play a key role in optimizing financial performance and preparing reports for management and the parent company.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general and analytical accounting and ensure monthly/annual closings with variance analyses.
• Manage cash flow, bank reconciliations, and cash flows.
• Control costs and margins by department (sales, service, parts) and support budget management.
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management and the parent company.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with sales, after-sales, and operations departments on forecasts and the annual budget.
• Participate in internal and external audits and follow up on recommendations.
• Supervise, if necessary, accounting staff and contribute to team development.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting, finance, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar position (controlling, financial management, or accounting), ideally in an automobile dealership.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial statements.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with ERP systems; experience with automobile management software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, rigor, organization, and communication; ability to work in a team and present financial information.
• Fluent in French; English is a plus.
