Mechanic / Technician (Apprentice)

CDF ProMecanique is seeking an Apprentice Mechanic / Technician to join our skilled service team in Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot, Quebec. We’re looking for someone with solid experience in the basics who is eager to grow through diverse, hands-on training. You will be mentored by a highly skilled group and have a clear path for advancement within a collaborative, professional environment.

What you’ll do

• Assist with diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of vehicles under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections to uphold vehicle safety and performance.
• Support components replacement, brake work, tune-ups, and other service tasks as assigned.
• Use diagnostic tools and service information to identify issues; document findings and service actions clearly.
• Maintain organized work orders, ensure quality workmanship, and keep the workspace safe and clean.
• Adhere to all safety policies and wear prescribed PPE, including safety glasses with prescription.
• Embrace ongoing training and cross-functional exposure to grow your skills.

What you bring

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive/mechanical servicing; solid fundamentals in basic automotive systems.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using standard diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
• French language proficiency required; English considered an asset.
• Team player with good communication and a demonstrated commitment to learning and safety.
• Valid driver’s license; legal eligibility to work in Canada.
