Mechanic / Technician

Valley Toyota in Chilliwack, British Columbia, is seeking a Red Seal Mechanic/Technician to join our high-volume service department. This is not an entry-level role. Role and responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a high volume of vehicles with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Perform a wide range of service and repair tasks, including engine performance, electrical systems, braking, steering and suspension, drivability, and routine maintenance
• Interpret OEM repair information and use modern diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues
• Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding diagnosis, required parts, and timelines
• Ensure work is completed to Valley Toyota standards and in compliance with safety and manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; adhere to dealership processes and quality control
• Mentor and support junior technicians or apprentices as needed

What we’re looking for

• Red Seal Automotive Technician certification is required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume shop
• Strong diagnostic skills and a relentless focus on quality and productivity
• Experience with Toyota systems is a plus; ability to work on a variety of makes and models
• Proficient with electrical and electronic diagnostics and the use of OEM service information
• Valid BC driver’s license; own hand tools are requires
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
• Physically capable of performing typical technician tasks in a busy shop environment
