ABOUT US Rive Sud Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT Inc. is a well-established automobile dealership on Montreal's South Shore, recognized for its supportive environment conducive to a long-term career for over 30 years. As part of the growth of our administrative team, we are seeking an experienced accounting clerk to join our accounting department. JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the administrative management, the person in this position will mainly be responsible for processing and recording vehicle sales files as well as managing accounts receivable. This position requires a good knowledge of accounting processes specific to the automotive industry. • Record financial transactions, generate invoices, and compile relevant data • Maintain accounting documents and keep verified accounts payable records • Monitor customer accounts by recording payments and following up on overdue accounts • Ensure reconciliation and deposit of received funds, as well as compile payroll-related documents TASKS RELATED TO ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE • Reconcile and deposit daily received payments, issue receipts, and update customer records • Prepare cash deposits and follow up on accounts receivable recovery TASKS RELATED TO SALES ACCOUNTING • Record sales transactions in accounting documents and reconcile records • Prepare daily sales contract reports and justify transactions • Compile lists of missing transactions and authorize commission payments • Perform any other related tasks requested by management REQUIREMENTS Only applications with relevant experience will be considered. • Significant and demonstrated experience in recording sales files and managing accounts receivable (experience in an auto dealership is a major asset) • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) • Knowledge of a dealership management system (DMS) — an asset
