Mechanic / Technician

We are recruiting a passionate and meticulous Mechanic / Technician to join our team at Vimont Toyota Laval. Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic faults on Toyota vehicles and associated brands.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine repairs (oil changes, brakes, suspension, transmission, air conditioning and exhaust systems, electronic diagnostics, etc.).
• Read and interpret manufacturer procedures, schematics and diagnostic codes; use diagnostic tools and software provided by Toyota.
• Document interventions and ensure traceability of work for service advisors and customers.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure optimal turnaround times and impeccable quality.
• Respect safety standards and quality assurance procedures; actively participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement of shop practices.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in automotive mechanics.
• Strong skills in mechanical and electronic diagnostics; knowledge of Toyota systems is an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals; proficiency with diagnostic tools.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• College diploma or equivalent in automotive mechanics; valid driver’s license.
• Fluent French.
• Team spirit, organization and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
